Why should I become a member of Quilts of Valor® Foundation?
Because:
- You share the passion of the QOVF mission to cover veterans and service members touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.
What is the cost to join?
- Individuals can join for a $20 annual membership fee.
- A Life Membership is $1000.00
- Groups can join for $30 plus $5 per member annually.
- Quilt shops can sponsor a group for $30 plus $5 per member annually.
What are the benefits of membership?
For Individuals
- A membership card.
- A commemorative lapel pin (new design annually).
- Advance notice of upcoming QOVF special events, monthly specials from QOVF supporting companies, and discounted opportunities to participate in other quilt related events.
- Access to QOVF's Policies & Procedures Manual, including templates for QOV award certificates, QOVF letterhead, and more.
For Groups
- A membership card for each member.
- A commemorative lapel pin for each member (new design annually).
- Authorization to raise money, accept donations, and accept non-monetary gifts to meet local needs using the QOVF name. (Note: donations raised are sent in to the foundation's national office for tax recording and reporting, then returned to groups.)
- Use of 100% of funds raised through an expense reimbursement process.
- Monthly financial reports on the group’s account (donations & expenses).
- Advance notice of upcoming QOVF special events, monthly specials from QOVF supporting companies, and discounted opportunities to participate in other quilt related events.
- Access to QOVF's Policies & Procedures Manual, including templates for QOV award certificates, QOVF letterhead, and more.
For Quilt Shops
- A starter kit promoting how the QOVF Shop program can work for your shop and ideas about getting started if you do not already have a QOV group.
- A window cling identifying your shop as a Certified QOVF Shop.
- A calendar of QOVF upcoming events to give each shop time to set up their own opportunities for involvement in each event.
- Access to QOVF tri-fold color informational brochures.
- A membership card for each member.
- A commemorative lapel pin for each member.
- Authorization to raise money, accept donations, and accept non-monetary gifts to meet local QOV group needs using the QOVF name. (Note: donations raised are sent in to the foundation’s national office for tax recording and reporting, then returned to groups with proper reimbursement forms.)
- Reimbursement of 100% of funds raised through our expense reimbursement process (see Policies & Procedures for approved list of reimbursable expenses).
- Advance notice of upcoming QOVF special events, monthly specials from QOVF supporting companies, and discounted opportunities to participate in other quilt related events.
- Automatic sign-up for QOVF’s monthly online newsletter THREADS.
- Additional incentives will be added as the program grows and matures.
- Authorization to use the QOVF logo on the shop’s website and business Facebook page to promote the store and QOV partnership.
